Guest guest
Dear colleagues, I was wondering if someone could provide me with the English equivalent of " convergence biliaire " and if they could confirm if this is the joining of the right and left hepatic ducts, or the merging of the common hepatic duct with the cystic duct. Any help would be appreciated in sorting this out; the context is endocrine tumours of the " convergence biliaire " . Thanks in advance, Debbie
Guest guest
Hello Debbie, Yes, it is the confluence of the left and right hepatic ducts at the hilum. Have a look at the Bismuth-Corlette classification. http://patients.uptodate.com/topic.asp?file=biliaryt/5864 Cheers Sue
