Subject: Update on

I stayed up all night, not just because of , but she was one of the

reasons. I am still fighting day?night reversal. I got the last update at 10:00

pm, Denver time, which would put at 9:00 Loma , Ca time.

did GREAT. Not good, but GREAT, was the word from the mister. He said she

only required two units of blood. My theory is that because she educated

herself, and ate right and put herself in the best health she could, both

mentally and physically, that she deserves credit along with the surgical team

for things going this smooth so far. She has a long road to recovery, as anyone

who has been through this can attest to. I have not, but this is major abdominal

surgery, and trading something you are born with for something someone else was

born with. My prayers go out this morning to the donor and the donors family.

They are planning a funeral. is alive. Her family is jumping for joy. Life

is strange. For some perspective, here is a clip we watched last night. Caution,

get some kleenex. This link has religious roots and mentions Jesus, just a note.

I am so happy for Dianne and her family.  You mention the right foods.....What

are they?

All I hear is after they will tell me what to eat.  What should I be eating now?

When I read your post about how well did, I just cried.. You mentioned the

donor's family.  I'm praying for them too.  The circle of life sometimes just

makes me cry and cry.

Lyncia, from every thing I have been told , I eat or try to eat a diet that a

cardiologist would approve. It leans toward complex carbs, and vegetables, low

in animal protein, but I was told not to restrict protein because my body will

rob it from itself. I have found this to be true. I keep the fat to a minimum,

and salt to under 2000 mg a day. The normal recommendation is already at 2300,

so most Americans eat ten times the salt of what they should. There are dishes

at the Macaroni grill that have 10,000 mg of salt, and that is just for one

meal. Liver diseasers should avoid the Macaroni grill, period. In enjoy coffee,

and I challenge any one to find the latest negative info on coffee. If you go

online and google " coffee-liver disease " , you will find 2,260,000

entries for those words, and you will get to 100,000 before you find one that

is against coffee. The first one says " coffee protects alcohol drinkers from

liver disease. " This is just an example of what I eat and drink. I think you

should ask your hepatologist for his or her advice. We had the coffee debate

last year, and since havent found anything new to debunk the latest trend.

Coffee in scientific studies protects drinkers from getting cirrhosis, and it

protects people with cirrhosis from getting HCC, and they do not know why.

Wierd, huh?

So, Ima gonna go pour another starbucks decaf, and read the rest of these. Love,

Bobby.
