Hi,

I think the best place to start would be, why was the the creatinine clearance done in the first place?

Efe

Hi,My son's creatinine came back as low...2 months later (on Vit C & A ) came back normal level....the test this time was creatinine clearance. It is coming back high 276 (usually 176ish top end of normal I think?)

I have tried to look it up but very complicated and can only really find creatinine or low levels of creatinine clearance! Does anyone know what a high creatinine clearance means? What can I try to do to make it normal again.

Sorry should have explained more. creatinine done as part of test for

amino acids, his creatinine was very low....the advice on the sheet

says to do creatinine clearance to check renal damage....but what i

have read on creatinine it is only low not high results evidence renal

damage and high is pregnancy or extreme exercise...neither these an

issue. Wondering if their is another cause? Diabetis keeps coming up in

litreture and he had a microalbuim test done also (sp) which diabetis

or proteinurea (sp ) an issue. his protein levels are rock bottom and

BUN extremely high! Awaiting Organic acid urine results and immglobin??

IVIG??? got lost at that point as was told ds was similar to MS which I

was in shock at that point and lost anything coming in!

Had the creatinine clearance result today and 3/4 higher than top end

of scale!? Want to know more about cause/treatments etc
