Guest guest
, I'm really glad that the problem got fixed. I am starting on medicare in January also. I am recieving COBRA right now, but it is costing 1000. 00 a month, and Sharon hasnt been paid since June, so that will end soon. It couldnt come at a better or worse time because we wont have enough to make the house payment if they take out of the Ssdi money to pay for any premiums. I am worried about this, but not really. It takes my breath away if I let it, but I think I have to just go with the flow. I have an appointment to talk to a lwayer tommorrow to see if we have a case with my job benefits. There was an arbitrary deadline to apply for disability retirement for the ciy of Denver. 90 days. I had 90 days from the day I lost my job, but didnt get anything in the mail abut it until October that year, and the 90 days was up in July. The thing is designed to disqualify you if you fail to notify them once you lose your job. But the wording says " need to attach award from ssdi in order to apply " . But that took just under a a year, and from everything I read, it happened faster than normal. My lawyer was shocked that it only took just under one year from application to first check. It will be interesting to see what you guys choose, and I will keep you informed of our desicion too. I cover him on my job so medicare will be secondary. i thought i would change my position at work to a day shift 5 days a week 40hrs. now i am thinking that my shift 7 on 7 off 80 hrs will still be best when and if we are ever called. it is easier to cover me every other week then weekly. or i can stay with him every other week...I am just thinking about a lot of stuff...i am trying to get ready. i found this really good web site i will send the link later which tells you alot of what to do to get ready..i think it was something like the " transplant experience " Love sandra
Guest guest
Hi , When I got Medicare, I got Part A and Part B, and they sent me a letter to sign up for Part D, so I didn't have to do anything special but sign a form and I had Part D (prescription). Maybe it will be different for him since Medicare will be secondary. Medicare is my main insurance and I have a supplemental to pick up what Medicare doesn't pay. Yes, the website you are talking about is http://www.transplantexperience.com I was given that website before my transplant as well as after. Guest guest
Dear Bobby: i pray some good things come your way. keep looking up sometimes it is very hard to find and claim our blessings when there is a constant rain cloud over head...the other day my two sisters came and bombarded me before i went to sleep we had a good time then they went shopping with out me but i was so happy to be with them...then i received a phone call from the past it was a family friend i think he may be family too but that's a story :} oh what a time and i felt real good. then i get notice that my sisters (the one who was just at my home )19 year old son and his friend had a wreck he was thrown from the car and the friend both were ejected...the car rolled several times...my nephew and the friend walked away. the car could of smashed them. my step mother who raised us died this way. i forget exactly where i was going with this but i suppose that blessing come in many disguises. Gods plans our not ours. You keep looking forward. ________________________________ To: livercirrhosissupport Sent: Tuesday, November 18, 2008 5:42:33 PM Subject: Re: getting ready , I'm really glad that the problem got fixed.
