Guest guest
Hello all I was beginning to think I had subscribed to a non-existent list. I just joined the other day so I was going to be quiet for a while and see what folks had to say. Hmmmmmm - I can't keep quiet THAT long. An intro might help, and others could do the same. My name is Jo and I am 48 years old. I suffer from several different types/sources of chronic pain and I just get to the point where I want to scream and jump off the balcony(only about 6 feet so it would probably just make me hurt worse). I broke my neck and tore all the muscles and ligaments in it when I was 13 years old. No paralysis, just 35 years of discomfort. A car accident nearly destroyed a shoulder and it has since frozen and is very painful. A stroke 6 years ago left some damage behind that resulted in constant leg pain in the affected leg. I fall several times a week, and do manage to do damage once in a while. And last but not least, I have had an intractable migraine (caused from the stroke apparently) and have not had a day without some level of migraine pain, in 3 years. Aside from that, I am doing fine. I can't work so I spend my days here at the computer doing genealogy. On good days I do library research. I am divorced but have a SO, my kids are grown, and at the present time my brother is living with me. I have a cat and a lovebird which keep me up when I could be feeling really down. Okay - enough about me. If there really is anyone else on the list, can we hear from you and we can share ideas on dealing with what we live with. At least that is what I hope happens here.
