Guest guest
Welcome back, Ray, and my condolences on your Mom. You and my husband are alike in the gardening thing... we just moved to this house in the winter and are now finding out what grows around us. lots of daffodils and tulips, so far. i am convinced the house was sold to him because of the trickle system for the beautiful garden out back, and the whirlpool tub for me!!! Enjoy your time outdoors. kat _______________________________________________________ Get your free, private email at http://mail.excite.com/
Guest guest
Hiding from the world for me is called gardening. Spent most of the day in the garden. But it seems like I never know when to quit soon enough to avoid the pain. Will probably take awhile to get into shape. Thanks for the ski joke! It made my day. Guest guest
Kat, Wish I had a trickle system in my yard. I am trying to use soaker hoses. While on vacation last week one of the neighbors daughters took a hatchet to my hoses. Kids! Where do they think these things up? Glad your husband likes the house. Enjoy the tub! Guest guest
Thanks, Lois, the scripture you quoted is my own personal favorite. Losing a parent hurts no matter how old or young you are. A friend of my fathers lost his mother last month also. He's in his 70's, she was in her 90's. The loss was as great for him as it was for me. When your parent dies you feel like an orphan. The person who you knew loved you no matter what you did or said, is no longer there for you. I have a great relationship with my father...forget the teenage years, please...but it isn't the same as the relationship I had with my mother. I can only pray that I will be able to help my father adjust to life without my mother. He is almost 70 and will continue to manage the apartments and condo's that my mother managed before she got so ill. The owners told him that retirement was mandatory at age 95, but only if he gave them 10 years notice first! Great folks to work for! Guest guest
Hey, Ray, Sorry to hear about your mother! Much sympathy to you and your family. I know how hard it is - my own mother dies in 1978 when I was 30 y.o. It takes time, so give yourself the time. Lois Grace... Power Made Perfect in Weakness (2 Cor. 12:9) I'm back! What a month! First my computer went down the first part of March. The same day I hooked it back up, my Mom died. It has been a rough few weeks ending with a much needed vacation in the Smoky Mountains with my wife. Just got back home. Hope everyone is having a pain-free day!
