As far as I know Reverse-Loaded Squats are when you keep your weights behind your feet insteed infront. So the compression on disc will not come anteriorly which is dangerous. Reverse-Loaded Squats will put pressure on posterior element only. Casler writes: Hi Anjai and welcome to ST. So that no confusion arises, and since I am the one to suggest the use of " Reverse Load Squats " I should probably clarify, that it simply means that the " LOAD " to the squatting action, which normally is creating a " DOWNWARD FORCE " , is " reversed " by using the " UPWARD FORCE " of a Lat Machine. This means that the " force load " is in reverse. To perform the exercise you must, " pull yourself down and slightly forward " rather than a normal squat where you " push up, and slightly rearward " . It is akin to the overhead seated press, being the " reverse load " of the seated lat pulldown.
