Guest guest
Hi again everyone, I'm drafting the ltr to officially request a rep from HCFA/Medicare to present in SLC to address some of the issues this group had previously identified as desiring to have further information on. At this moment, those topics include the following: ESRD & ESRD Extension COB Eligibility CWF-explaination of ALL fields COBRA LRD Lung & Liver: Medical policies & donor billing questions for both MSP-Auto, Working Aged, ESRD, Ret'd ?Development of Tx Specific Fed'l Registry Anything else come up in the meantime you'd like to see addressed? One concrete issue still to be addressed is how the poor speaker will be able to spend any amount of time on all these issues and allow for Q & A in 90 minutes! One possibility would be to split the topics over Sun & Mon (Part I & Part II), instead of merely repeating the session. It's not MY first choice as I think it's not fair to either the other presenters or attendees. Another option would be do have " Part I " (covering some of the more basic areas) in PCW w/a repeat during the main conference breakout Sun & " Part II " during Monday's breakout. What does everyone think? Any other suggestions? Any other session topics come up in the past couple of weeks? Another concern for me is that there are still quite a few people in this group who haven't completed the poll I set up on our eGroups homepage re: the Forum. If you haven't, PLEASE try to do so in the next day or so. Feedback re: possible attendance @ PCW, the Main Forum, & the Association mtg Tuesday afternoon is VITAL for planning purposes (not to mention ordering lunch!) If you're still having problems accessing the home page, contact me directly either via e-mail LAguiar@... or . Thanks everyone, J. Guest guest
I have called Margaret Jefferson in Baltimore and explained what we would like. She will be getting back with me very soon to give me the info on who to send the formal letter to and will be taking our request forward to her director, McMillan (female). I hope this will help get us to the right people faster. Guest guest
- These topics look great and I agree that once we find a Medicare speaker we should TAKE ADVANTAGE of him/her and have at least two sessions where he/she could talk. However that can be worked out is fine with me! Thanks for taking so much of this on - I really do appreciate it. Also, I have to say that I would not like to hear about the cost report from this speaker - as there are so many other issues I would like to see addressed. And, like you said, the cost report will be a part of the conference in different sessions - right? Thanks again. s LDS Hospital Salt Lake City Utah >>> LAguiar@... 08/17/00 07:40AM >>> Hi again everyone, I'm drafting the ltr to officially request a rep from HCFA/Medicare to present in SLC to address some of the issues this group had previously identified as desiring to have further information on.
