bill was because there was already another law in place that covered that. Obama

specifically voted against that bill because he said that it might make it

harder for women to get abortions down the road if a “fetus” was

I wonder if people understand what FOCA is? Freedom of Choice

Act, which Obama has promised to sign as one of his first acts as President,

would nullify every law we have against abortion..it would strip the rights of

individual states to make their own laws regarding abortion. It strikes down

the parental notification law that some states have..under FOCA, minors can get

abortions without their parents’ knowledge or consent. Would you want

your 13 yr old daughter to have an abortion without telling you? It would

mandate that the federal government would have to pay for abortions. It would

make it legal to have an abortion at ANY time during the pregnancy…the

bill says “before viability”, but in practice, there is not firm

standard for viability..an abortionist could do an abortion at any time before natural

delivery if he deems the mother in ‘distress’ (including emotional

distress) FOCA is the most extreme pro abortion bill that has been proposed.

I wrote to 25 org a few weeks ago, because I have a real

problem with organizations that say they are ‘Christian’, yet who support

abortion, and a very pro abortion candidate….and twist the facts to

make it seem like their candidate is in line with Christian principles.

I suggested that a better verse for them to base their

organization on was 15:14

DC (LifeNews.com) -- An independent watchdog that checks the facts on statements and

political ads from candidates and campaigns says Barack Obama is misleading

people abortion. The FactCheck web site of the University of Pennsylvania

reviewed the debate over the Illinois Born Alive Infants Protection Act.

At issue

is the bill that Obama opposed that would provide medical care for newborn

infants who survive abortions.

Obama

says he voted against the bill because it didn't mirror a national version that

had language making it neutral on Roe v. Wade -- even though Obama voted for

language in committee to make the state legislation conform.

National Right to Life Committee released

documents exposing Obama's misrepresentation and the pro-abortion

smeyer, spokesperson for the Illinois Senate Democrats, did not dispute

the documents were legitimate.

The Obama

campaign has since put out a new excuse for the votes, saying they would have

gone up against state abortion laws that allow abortions.

Look down at the bottom of the page on 25, this is a PAC, not a religious group.

Even when I read what BO said, he said nothing about aborted fetuses, which is how he would characterize them. He said treatment would not be withheld from an infant with a chance of survival. He does not believe an aborted fetus is an infant, so this does not change the fact that he would let a baby die if he or she were the product of abortion. He is playing a word game.

There is a You Tube video of BO telling why he voted against the Infant Born Alive bill. Not because there was already such a law, but because it would be traumatic for the mother who already decided her child should die to know the child didn't die right away. It would also require another doctor's presence. I'll look up the link if you can't find it.

Boy Obama certainly does fit the description here...but I guess 'flocking' to him 'to me' seems more like an overwhelmingly popular person...

BUT at the same time my Bible study ladies are 'so' impressed by him and that in itself is pretty scary that they can be 'blinded' ---their issue is the war in Iraq.

Also, do you think we could 'stop' a prophesey? Not that I want to 'force' one into happening, but that's just something I have wondered--if we 'know' that the prophesey is immenent, I say get right with God and hold on for the Tribulation.

As with so many other statements I've heard him (and his wife) make, I never thought I'd see the day that I'd hear something like that from a presidential candidate in this nation. To think our forefathers fought and died for the right for our nation to be a Christian nation--and to have this man say with pride that we are no longer that. How far this nation has come from what our founding fathers intended it to be.I hope that each of you will do what I'm doing now--send your concerns, written simply and sincerely, to the Christians on your email list. With God's help, and He is still in control of this nation and all else, we can show this man and the world in November that we are, indeed, still a Christian nation!Debbie P

There are a lot of views concerning when the 'believers' are taken out of this world. I personally believe the Bible teaches a pre-tribulation rapture. That is, the 'church' (universal church...all who believe in Christ) is raptured in the twinkling of an eye (taken out of the world) before the anti-Christ is revealed.

Has anyone read the "Left Behind" series by Tim LaHaye? It is a work of fiction. The writers have taken what they see in the book of Revelations and other passages that deal with prophecy and write a story about how it might happen. I really enjoyed reading all the books in the series. Most libraries have it.

I'm praying for God's Will to be done, that the eyes of voters will be opened to the truth, and for strength and wisdom for and and their families.
