Guest guest
" I am envious of people who can just relax and enjoy situations without having to brace against 'attack'. " Yes! I feel that way exactly. I have mentioned this many times, but I have to add that I feel a lot less anticipatory anxiety since I've been on vitamin therapy. MUCH less. > > > > Hi everybody > > > > My name is Tracey and Im a new member, also this is the first forum > type group I have ever joined. > > > > I am looking forward to talking to you all and getting some > understanding of what I experience. Guest guest
Hi Tracey,We're trying to have kids now also and I always worry about what my reaction will be towards them when they make the triggers. It worries me that I may lash out at them because of this condition but I guess you're right and everyone's different and only time will tell. Poor kids!!! )Love, andraTo: Soundsensitivity Sent: Monday, January 26, 2009 4:31:39 PMSubject: Re: (unknown) Thanks Celeste. Great to hear your kids are doing well too, we dont have any but are trying and I have wondered what affect it would have on a child and also whether I would be yelling at them every time they put food in their mouth. I guess everybody will feel different and I wont know until the time.Lets be thankful to our loving and tolerant partners. To: Soundsensitivity Sent: Monday, January 26, 2009 12:53:41 PMSubject: (unknown) Hi Tracey, welcome Yep, that's my biggest struggle -the person I love and trust the most in this world, my soulmate, is who's eating and breathing and other little things drive me the most crazy. Adult chewing is just hideous but luckly the kids sounds don't bother me really at all...unless they are trying to look over my shoulder while chewing...I' ll have to tell them to eat somewhere else. Btw, at 13 and 8, they are both doing great showing no signs of 4S > > Hi everybody > > My name is Tracey and Im a new member, also this is the first forum type group I have ever joined. > > I am looking forward to talking to you all and getting some understanding of what I experience. Guest guest
I grind my teeth and should wear a mouth guard, but I am trying to not to wear it. I need a new one because it is a bit old now. I have been getting headaches again though. I wonder if you could get a prescription through the NHS from the GP? To: Soundsensitivity Sent: Saturday, March 7, 2009 12:08:00 PMSubject: (unknown) I wear a mouth guard at night as I severely clench my teeth. I do this a lot during the day as well. I'm also a shoulder tenser too... So if TMJ doesn't have anything to do with 4S/Misophonia directly...it may play an indirect role with the stress. When my jaws are bothering me really bad, I do the gentle massage and heat. Seems to help. And I'm constantly trying to remind myself not to clench my jaws. Thanks again to all who responded!
