With all the current discussion here regarding Drs and the things they have said, Dave's latest blog : http://davehingsburger.blogspot.com/ along with the comments to regarding cheerleading, I thought a good subject for the blog would be what NOT to say to people with DS or their families.Since's it's DS awareness month, care to participate in raising awarness regarding this subject by contributing what you hated hearing to the blog?Kathy and I will compile them all and then post them for the world to see.Carol in ILMom to , 8 DS My problem is not how I look. Guest guest
As a matter of fact....... I can tell ya Dawn dishwashing soap works well on Vaseline. But condition the soup outta the hair after. I "volunteered" for a youth pig pen party. So I have experience. And I can tell you that maple syrup is the worst to get out. And once mustard is in the nostrils, it is a smell that lingers for days! Gosh I think I need another shower at just the thought of it! Well most of the time yes but not when they have have hidden my keys yet again because they love me ripping the house apart looking for them!! Or when they come down the stairs for dinner covered from head to toe in chocolate from their hidden stash ( provided by older sibs ) . Or best of all when they wait for your priests visit to make a grand entrance completely naked. Right then not so lovable LOL [DownSyndromeInfoEx change] What not to say... Guest guest
ROTFL.... Good grief the things we moms do in our lives LOLI can second the dawn dish soap for anything greasy. put loads of Vaseline in her long hair once too. I think it's extremely difficult to the smell of BM off of anything, including hands. Oxy clean does a nice job getting it out of clothes, but seems to sink into the pores of your hands.... yuk.
