Next Legislative Session * The Legislature will convene for the 81st Regular Session on January 13, 2009. Great opportunity to seek some plan of action to share your voice where needed when addressing any areas needed. Best of luck on this mission. http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/Home.aspx Irma
Guest guest
You can request the MRA to move your son to the CLASS interest list with the original HCS request date. If you have problems, call DADS 1- . You can also appeal the MRA's decision regarding your son's HCS eligiblity. You should first talk to the MRA and find out their appeal process. If you still have questions or issues with regards to your appeal, you should contact DADS' client rights at 1-. With all Medicaid denials, you have the right to appeal all the way up to a state court, but you should be able to resolve your problem before going that far. Also, Advocacy Inc. or your local Independent Living Center may be able to help you access Medicaid services. You should contact them for further information. Hope that helps. Are there many other people with ASD who have been denied HCS? Thanks! Lello > > I have a 17 year old son diagnosed with Autism when he was 3 year > olds. Guest guest
Wonderful! Thank you do much for the information. I have started the appeal process. I am gathering additional paperwork needed for re-submission. Looks like these programs require a little more effort on our part, even after selection. I was surprised at the response I received from other parents of children with ASD. Same problem. However, a few did mention eventually getting CLASS. Again, Thank you for the numbers and info .
