General Services

Speech and Language Evaluation

A complete evaluation includes a parent interview, formal language and articulation evaluation (if possible), and/or an informal functional communication evaluation during which the speech-language pathologist evaluates the child’s functional abilities across areas of play, receptive language, expressive language, and social communication skills (pragmatic language). Articulation and oral motor abilities may also be evaluated on an as-needed basis. A comprehensive evaluation report, treatment plan, and recommendations are also included. Re-Evaluation at 6 months

Intake Interview for Summer Group Clients

This includes informal testing of the child’s functional abilities across areas of language (receptive and expressive), articulation, play and social communication (pragmatic language). Parents will receive verbal recommendations and entrance into the most appropriate group setting.

Individual Speech and Language Therapy (office and school)

Individual speech and language therapy focuses on each child’s individual priorities. Not only do these visits focus on therapy for the child but also provide caregivers with strategies to facilitate communication and play with their child.

Therapeutic Play Dates

Therapeutic play dates focus on increasing your child’s play skills with other children. During these sessions, the family sets up a play date with the child of their choice. The speech-language pathologist then facilitates showing, sharing, imitative play, cooperative play and symbolic play skills. Play Dates occur at the office.

KidSpeak, LLC Offers Numerous Groups throughout the year

All groups focus on the individualized social communication as well as socialization needs of each child. The cost for this group is $65/hour. All groups are based on a tuition basis; therefore, specific prices for each group and semester vary. There is a $20 - $30 registration fee for each group (the price depends on the group and semester). Mommy and Me Group (ages 18 months – 2½)

PreK/K Group (ages 4 – 6)

Lunch Bunch (ages 2 ½ – 10)

Play/Social Groups (ages 3 – 10) Social Skills Group (ages 8 – 11)Toddler Program (ages 2 ½ - 4)

The Toddler Program is designed for children who are beginning to learn the classroom as well as social rules of a preschool. Spaces within this group are limited to only 3 spaces for a 1:1 ratio (one Speech-Language Pathologist to one child). There is a $30 registration fee. Cost

Mini Camps (2 to 3 kids per SLP)

Mini Camps are offered for one week durations during School Break times like Spring Break. Mini Camps are working on social skills. All groups are based on a tuition basis; therefore, specific prices for each group and semester vary. There is a $20 - $30 registration fee for each group (the price depends on the group).

Home Consultations

Home Consultations include: caregiver training on how to use visuals within everyday life.

Educational Consultations

Educational Consultations include attending ARD/IEP meetings, touring different facilities with families, consulting with other professionals that work with your child, consulting with parents on how to prepare for meetings with other professionals, observing your child within school setting and more.

Setting Up Home Environment

A KidSpeak, LLC Therapist travels to your home and completes 3 sessions with the family (2 hours – 3 ½ hours) where the focus is arranging your home and using visual supports in order to increase your child’s social communication and carryover. Parent/Caregiver Training Program Consists of a series of one hour training sessions for parents, siblings and caregivers throughout a semester. Parents will meet with their

KidSpeak, LLC therapist once a month during a semester either at their house or at the KidSpeak, LLC office with/without their child where the focus is facilitating the child to function within the best of his or her ability within his or her natural environments.

Therapeutic Field Trips

Focus on increasing your child’s receptive and expressive language within natural environments with their families. Therapeutic Field Trips entail families planning and going on a variety of field trips with their child but without the therapist to a variety of places such as the zoo, the aquarium, the fair, the movies and more. Your therapist will provide you with the following visuals/activities for your field trip in order to make it therapeutic and individualized for your child and their needs: a book about the field trip to read to your child before you go, two activities to complete on your field trip, a book for you and your child to complete together after your field trip as well as a list of other activities that might be helpful for your child.
