Is it difficult to find a BCBA in North Texas? It seems like we have

a lot of them here. I thought there were a lot in Houston too. I

guess it depends how many of them are in private practice, maybe.

There are several BCBA's serving CLASS in the Austin/ San area also.

Very true and how many when found would like to contract with the

Medicaid Waiver Program undergo the paperwork needed and negotiate the

pay fee issues.

You can search for BCBA's/BCaBA' s in by zip code, city, state, name at the Behavior Analyst Certification Board website (www.bacb.com). Go to consumer information and then click on the Certificant Registry tab on the left. HSC is also reimbursing for BCBA's.

Unfortunately, one of the problems is that most of the private clinics (and maybe the public ones) have clauses in their contract to prevent their BCBAs to work privately with other clients.

I really think that due to the shortage of qualified and experienced BCBAs, these organization should re-consider their positions.
