Guest guest
Well, I don't know details, but my pediatrician is part of the Texas Children's Pediatric Associates (affiliated with TCH), and they had signs up saying that as of 3/1/09 they would no longer accept BC/BS. I was in there last week and the signs were gone -- I asked the receptionist about it and she said that they would indeed be taking BC/BS after all. I guess a deal was worked out? IMO it seems that a deal was not going to be worked out, TCH/affiliates started notifying their patients, and recently a deal was worked out. That's how it appears, anyway. But there was definitely a sign up at my pediatrician's office, so it was obviously true that at one time there was no deal in place between TCH and BC/BS. e Subject: BCBS plan coverage at Texas Children's Hospital - Houston areaTo: KatyAutismSupport , Texas-Autism-Advocacy Date: Wednesday, December 17, 2008, 11:37 PM This past August there was a lot of discussion about how BCBS' plan availability at TCH was going away beginning March 1, 2009, well when I inquired about this the other day I was told by my husband's benefits coordinator that Texas Children's Hospital is a network provider and will remain a provider. It was confirmed by the following message below: In Network Provider:Texas Children's Hospital6621 FanninHouston, TX 77030Who are the individuals being told that provider is not accepting BCBS --and any specifics as to who they were talking to at the facility?
