Guest guest
My son is 13. We are # 8057 on the CLASS list we have been on for several years. Because of our above poverty level status we do not qualify for any help below. I also do not consider my son to have mental retardation nor do I want him classified as such so MHMR is out of the question. My kid can do algebra in his head and respond on a letterboard. I actually think he may be smarter than me. His disabilities are more tied to social and communication and attention so where does that put us? We need the same help as persons who benefit from MHMR but for a different reason. Having Autism is like being from another galaxy and being forced to live here. I wonder if Mr. Spock received any special services for his anti social behavior......
