Guest guest
That is ridiculous. They should instead conduct a functional behavior assessment to find out WHY he is refusing to do his work. Your principal is acting like this is the choice of a child with an ED label, not a child with learning difficulties and a neurobiological disorder. Punishing him into working will not work…it will just make things worse. As just a guess, he is probably refusing to work because he needs modifications and accommodations to his assignments that are not being done and the work is too hard and overwhelming, so he just shuts down. If he were mine, I would request an emergency ARD meeting and refuse to let them punish him in ISS for his disability! Just my .02 worth, nna
