I used Carnaware on , least I think that is what it was, one of the nasties for him, no good at all, really quite frantic on it and no improvements in speech at all.

seems aimed at stomach linings. I noticed some discussion of stomach

ulcers in the earlier posts

it is not know whether they would have the same effect if taken as separate sups. The studies were all done with that combo...

another good page on it, this one for vets but I guess lots applicable to humans:

http://www.myhealthblog.org/2007/09/07/what-is-pepzin-gi-aka-zinc-carnosine/

Could they be tried separately ie same thing in two tabs. Do they need

to be " complexed " as the nutri-firms say?

>>The one I have says

PepZinGI is a 1:1 molecular combination of L-Carnosine (B-Alanyl-L-Histidine) and Zinc

We tried it with Katy,I think it may have been in the spring when her

allergies play up more I didn't know what I was seeing really so I

stopped it.

She had a previous high alanine on OAT and I got worried.

I plan to start it again.I think I remember being told carnosine can

help with speech , muscle tone, and seizures.

I think Dr Chez a neurologist used carnosine to help with seizures.

I did some research into carnosine and decided against it. I cannot

remember why at the moment. I see it contains histidine. That may have

been the component that bothered me.

I'll have to check.

I seem to remember that it did not meet expectations on a lot of lists

several years ago.. I know of few people who still use it.

Vicky, Apparently histidine increases histamine. Here's something on

histadelia if you can scroll down. Not very scientific, I'm afraid but

it's a start. Does it sound like at all?
