Ok .

All the written documentation I have seen up until the conference this year says

that PMG is a NMD, ie it is related to the neurons migrating to their final

location in

the brain.

At the conference the sheets that was handed (the malfs. of cortical

development ) it clearly has PMG in a category called Maformations of Neuronal

Proliferation, ie it is not the migration of the neurons, but is to do with the

number

of neurons that are created.

At the bottom of one of the attachments to Chris' email the other day (which is

a

sheet from the Research Project in Chicago) PMG is in a different category

again.

This time it's in the Malformation of Cortical Organisation category, which I

guess

is to do with the structure and interconnection between the neurons - nothing to

do with migration or proliferation.

So I'm confused. Assuming the most recent document is right then PMG is to do

with organisational structure of the cortex and not migration or proliferation.

Anybody who is seeing Dr Dobyns soon might like to ask about this :-)

Oh, the other day I said PMG was caused in the 18 to 22 week period. It should

have read 18 to 24 week period.
