Guest guest Posted August 8, 2008 Report Share Posted August 8, 2008 The type of Science that Tony is talking about is one minor part of science; that of determining if we have a possible problem that should be better understood. Often it allows us to propose falsifiable hypotheses that are likely worthy of turning into verified theories. Statistics is not much good for anything else, since it is so easily distorted to many ends. The type of science that you want is the cell and animal science that is so expensive and so much more difficult to get funded.
