I've known for years that I favor my left ear (like phone on left) and am less sensitive in my left ear (don't like trigger person sitting on my right). I had a bad ear infection in my right ear when I was 14 (years after 4s developed); so bad that my teeth didn't meet because of the swelling, so I thought that was why my right ear seems so weird. Also used to get fluid in my right ear a lot which caused an irritable vibration when I would speak. Anyway, don't actually remember the details about my ears before I had the ear infection. Has anyone else noticed significant differences in their ears ?
Guest guest
Yes, my left ear has always been more dominant than my right. I had ear infections as a child and have fluid in my right ear causing me not to be able to hear as well out of that side. It's kind of like I'm plugging my ear with my finger. I've always been thankful for it because with my 4S I can tune more things out when someone sits on my right. It'd be interesting to know if more people with 4S favor one side. Anyone? > > > I found an article by Dr. Tomatis (you may have heard of the > Tomatis > > Method or Listening Therapy) who talks about how we hear and the > > differences between being right ear or left ear dominent. Guest guest
Same here. Sometimes my body quivers from some non offending sounds because of the presence of the sound my body feels. > > > > Also that part about processing sound through our bones is not suprizing to me at all. I often hear noises like they're going right through me. It actually feels like a bodily violation. > > Thanks for that link. > > Lynn > > Re: Interesting info about how we hear > > > I found an article by Dr. Tomatis (you may have heard of the > Tomatis > > Method or Listening Therapy) who talks about how we hear and the > > differences between being right ear or left ear dominent.
