Guest guest
Lynn, Everyone seems to have their own triggers, which is one of the reasons this is such a strange thing to figure out. Here's how I feel about the things you mentioned: Rushing, running, or trickling water--I love it. I have a fountain that relaxes me.Traffic--really bugs me, especially if I'm inside and can still hear itSomeone talking when they're sick and sniffling--it's the sniffling that bugs meHeat vents and airconditioners--I generally like humming because it sometimes drowns out other noisesSomeone pointing at things--doesn't bother meAmplified whispers--the sss sound sometimes bugs meFlip flops or click clacking shoes--irritatingFingers in front of mouths and pictures of this too--doesn't bother meHands in general, gesturing or fluttering about, and long fingernails--doesn't bother me, though I guess I am a little grossed out by long fingernailsGum chewing--horrible, especially popping and crackingTo deal with it, I generally avoid situations where I'm likely to be exposed to bothersome noises. If that's not possible, I suffer, basically. I'm curious about the Zem Guard, though ear blisters don't sound pleasant! Never miss a thing. Make Yahoo your homepage. Guest guest
It's a lifesaver for me at work. If I start to get skin irritation that breaks or a blister then I find another solution for a day or so and put neosporin on it to be on the safe side. I put this in an earlier response, but here it is again: Go to the Hyperacusis Network and click on Helpful Products, then scroll down to Zem Headset, or go to this link directly. http://www.sensgard .com/web/ 2005/09/zemzone_ safety_comfort_ convenience. aspxAlso, they are not all that comfortable, but the sound is so annoying that its a relief. Thanks for the insight. Re:Auditory and visual stimuli that are bothersome Lynn, Everyone seems to have their own triggers, which is one of the reasons this is such a strange thing to figure out.
