Think of all you've been through. Maybe work on a project, like make a movie of your whole journey through this. You are an excellent film maker, you might consider filming the whole thing. I did that with Sharon and her brain surgery, and though no family member has ever commented, I get a lot of positive feedback from strangers. Love, Bobby long life, old age, everything good-Apache prayer ________________________________ From: preciouspenny3 <preciouspenny3@ <mailto:preciouspenny3%40yahoo.com> yahoo.com> To: livercirrhosissuppo <mailto:livercirrhosissupport%40yahoogroups.com> rt Sent: Tuesday, December 2, 2008 12:53:06 PM Subject: Treatment Starts Today Hi all, The time has come. My treatment starts today. I will be doing my first shot tonight at 8:00 p.m. My friend, Lori, who has done the treatment two times and also has cirrhosis is coming over to help me with it, to give support, and pray with me that everything will go well. Afterwards, we are going to watch a video of her jumping out of a plane when she went sky diving a few years ago. I can't wait to see that! My brother and I always wanted to do that, but we never did. I think my doctors would frown on that now after having a transplant.. .lol. We are also going to take some photos of the two of us. We've been wanting to do that. I've been wanting to set up a photo studio, but haven't done it yet. I think I'll try to set it up today. I just need to make a couple of homemade soft boxes for soft lighting, but they're easy to make. The placement of the lights is what is challenging. I should see if she will bring her guitar too, and maybe we can play a couple of songs together. I'm sooooo out of practice. I haven't played the guitar in years. I got my first guitar when I was 12 or 13 from my grandma, on my dad's side, who also played the guitar. My dad and grandpa played the fiddle. I was looking at Ebay today and saw some of the same cameras that I used to have when I was a little kid. My first camera was a Kodak Brownie box camera. I always had that in my hands since I was about 8 years old. My dad probably gave that to Goodwill years ago. My grandpa, on my dad's side, used to have a home photo studio when I was just a little tiny thing, and he would take photos of families around his neighborhood to make a little extra money. My dad used to be a big camera buff too. He has all kinds of color slides from Korea right after the Korean war when he was over there in the Army rebuilding the bridges that were blown up in the war, and a million and one slides of my sister, who was the most gorgeous baby, who is the oldest. By the time I came along (I'm the baby), he wasn't taking pictures so much anymore. Sorry, I'm rambling. I'm just trying to keep my mind off of the treatment. I don't start the pills until tomorrow, but I'm expecting to have fever, chills, and body aches tonight and tomorrow, and I hope that's all I have. I plan on keeping a blog on my Myspace page, if I feel up to it. http://www.myspace. com/preciouspenn y1327 I started that page as a serious thing about my liver disease, but have since tried to add a little more fun to it. My life isn't defined by my liver disease, or at least I try not to let it be. I hope everyone is doing as well as can be expected.
