Guest guest
He is at risk. Individuals with end stage liver disease are at elevated risk for secondary infection, and fever is a sign of infection. Please call the doctor. Love Bobby Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile Ed- sick Ed is sick again. been running a fever for a couple days....103 yesterday, today down to 100.6. Not sick to his stomach or anything....just feels bad and sleeps alot.....a whole lot. and his blood sugars were whacky. Should I call his doctor or will he think I'm a worry wart wife? He sleeps so much anymore. I wish cirrohsis came with a manual. Love,Jill We don't remember days, we remember moments. Guest guest
Oh Lord, do I agree with that! It would be so much more simple if someone would just write a guide book! As for calling the doctor, I don't know and I hesitate to say one way or the other because I'm afraid I would give the wrong advice. Having said that, I probably would hold off as long as his temp was falling. However, if it started to rise or ceased to go down, I would most definitely call the doctor. That's just my opinion, now and certainly not a medical opinion. I hope Ed feels better soon and that you are able to relax a bit. I know all too well the stress of worrying over a sick hubby. My prayers are with you both, Jill. Love and hugs........... Guest guest
I would call the doc. It won't hurt anything to just call them and see what they say. If anything it will ease your mind some. Hope his fever sontinutes to go down! Tammy ________________________________ To: livercirrhosissupport Sent: Monday, December 1, 2008 3:17:33 PM Subject: Re: Ed- sick Oh Lord, do I agree with that! Guest guest
Jill, The sleeping sure is a big part of cirrohsis. I think my mom slept for all but a few hours every day for months. She wasn't even on pain meds and slept like that. Will be praying that Ed's fever goes away. Peace for you and clear direction. Hugs, Pamela > > Ed is sick again. been running a fever for a couple days....103 yesterday, today down to 100.6. Guest guest
Hey Jill, My wife was suffering at one point with a high fever and I tried just home treatment. She was the one who insisted she go to the doctor. It ended up that she was suffering from acute pancreatitis. I agree with Bobby, I would call the doctor. Better safe than sorry.
