Hi Barby,

I asked my coordinator and she said not to worry about it that I can

just take it after labs even though it's a couple of hours late.

Labs are only once a week, so it's nothing to worry about. The pills

have to be taken with food. I don't know how many times she has

stressed that to me. I have to fast every time I have labs because

they always do a glucose test.

I am feeling great! My second shot is tomorrow (Tuesday) night.

Hopefully, I won't have much trouble. I too am a genotype 1a. That

is the most common and hardest to treat type in the US. I have

faith, and pray that it will work. My viral load is very low, so I

have a better chance of clearing the virus, they say.

My coordinator called me today because she was very pleased with my

labs from today. My ALT dropped from 205 to 100, and my hematocrit

is up to 44. The hematocrit being 44 is really exciting to me

because I have had a really hard time bringing that up ever since my

transplant. It's been in the 30's usually. My coordinator said the

treatment may cause the hematocrit to drop, but it's jumped up since

treatment started. It fell 4 points when I had my last liver biopsy

in August. My white blood cell count is stable too. That too could

drop from the treatment.

I hope the appointment on the 15th goes well.

Hi Bobby,

I think you did tell me before that you joined Motion. No, I haven't

made any movies lately. I seem to go in spurts. I do a few for a

while, and then I don't have the interest again for a while.

You probably should get a machine to check your glucose. I have to

check my glucose again twice a day now that I'm on treatment because

it can cause the glucose to rise. I haven't done it since February,

when my glucose went back to normal after the transplant.
