Guest guest
Hi Elsie: My name is sandra...i am some what new to group also. i think it was in sep or oct i joined. My husband as cirrhosis due to hep c we hope to be listed for transplant soon...i did not have the amount of experience with your son as most people here, but what i did i liked ....it was a real treat to communicate with him. I had lost my first born son a few years back... he was 20 years old. So i truly sympathize with you. I am so very sorry for your loss. There is nothing i can say to ease your pain......A friend told me and it was what i took comfort in " the pain never gets less it just get less often " Time is our friend. just know that i am with you too. love in Christ sandra ________________________________ To: livercirrhosissupport Sent: Friday, December 12, 2008 10:21:50 AM Subject: FUZZY WELCOME Thanks everyone for the warm and fuzzy welcome. I'm always amazed when those of you with a sick loved one, can take the tine to confort me. To those who suffer my heart is very heavy. I'm not very knowledgeable about the disease, my only expweience is as a caregiver. Although after yesterdays discussion about diabeates and cirrhosis I'm not so sure ( FOOD FOR THOUGHT ). The HO! Guest guest
There is not doubt Christmas will be hard. I will be praying for you and your family because I know there will be a large empty spot in your celebration. Praying God will comfort your hearts and give you strength for the days ahead. Hugs........... Diane ________________________________ To: livercirrhosissupport Sent: Friday, December 12, 2008 9:21:50 AM Subject: FUZZY WELCOME Thanks everyone for the warm and fuzzy welcome. Guest guest
Elsie - we are not doing anything for Christmas, my grandson has to work, so will probably just take an hour to go out to eat at one of the restaurants in the area. We are going to celebrate Christmas with his mom, brother and sisters the first opportunity we get, regardless of what the actual day is. So, I should be here most of the day if you want to post, I will check in often Actually, I am addicted to this thing they call a computer, so now that my grandson has one of his own, I am back online a lot. Guest guest
Jan, great news. As a fellow computer addict, let me ask you- do you know about hulu.com? Free movies and free tv! Sure , there are short commercials in there , but they are only a few seconds. So short you don't have time to get a drink, or whatever. You can always hit the pause button. Sharon and I spent the hot summer nights awake watching movies. They have added a bunch of new ones though. Guest guest
There is also Fancast. I plan to use this a lot over in Korea to keep up on all my shows since AFN (Armed Forces Network) is usually a few weeks behind in TV than the US.. It also has free online movies. :-) http://www.fancast.com MaC robwalkingeagle@... wrote: Jan, great news. As a fellow computer addict, let me ask you- do you know about hulu.com? Guest guest
Bobby , I really can't watch TV. I do have some shows I listen to while I am on the computer. I used to watch a lot of TV, then I went back to college in my 40s, never had time to watch TV. I remember asking my kids one night why they weren't watching murder she wrote which had been one of my favorite shows. They told me it had been off the air for two years. Does hulu.com carry all the baseball games. That is about the only thing that can get me to watch TV now adays. We did just get wireless high speed dsl, so I could get movies in real time now. I don't imagine they have Prince Caspian yet do they? That I would like to see. I am also addicted to reading, and can't find the time to get in as much of either as I want to right now. But I am enjoying what is taking me away from both of them. I will be playing for church on Sunday, first time ever at 65, If anybody knows where you can get really free sheet music without having to sign up for a million things, I would love it.
