Subject: Two Down, 46 To Go

I had my second shot last night for the Hep C treatment. I haven't had

any side effects at all this time, and last week they were few. I feel

great! I'm just a little bit tired. My post transplant coordinator

called me today to see how I'm doing, and to tell me I need to take a

little more of the immunosuppressant drugs. The treatment boosts the

immune system, so I have to take more immunosuppressants so I won't

reject my new liver.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Thanks Lyncia, , Diane, and Abijann. I hope all 48 weeks go as

well as the first two have. I'm not worried about it. If it gets

worse, I just have to deal with it, and it will pass.

Hi Penny, Jeff did the same tx. At first it was hard, but his body got used to

it, like yours will. He always got sick about 2 days after the shot, then he

felt better, he describes it as a bad cold coming on. His body got used to the

shot, cause it did get better as the weeks progressed. He did 60 weeks, which I

thought was way too long, but he wanted to do it. And you know, it went fast.

His blood counts went really low, but he did not have to take anything for them.

I hope your tx. will go as good as his, don't get me wrong, he had some bad

days, especially the migraines, but, he is clear of the virus after 6 months,

keep going, you have been thru the worst part. I hope you well in your journey,

Jeff did it, I believe you can too. Sue

Thanks, Sue. I hope so too. It hasn't been bad for me at all.

After the first shot, I got a headache and nausea the next day for a

few hours, but it went away. I haven't had any problems since, not

even today after the second shot...nothing. I hope it all goes this

well.

Did you say if he cleared the virus? Was he genotype 1a too?
