Guest guest
It's very hard for me to talk to others about my problem with sounds; I'm sure everyone here can relate to that! I was labeled as rude by my own parents, and still am by my own mother and sister (my father, admittedly, was not as bad about it, God rest his soul). Recently, I touched two or three people in my life by simply explaining my problem in my blogs on MySpace and Facebook. Because I did this, this past Sunday morning, my Bible study teacher did something that I had never seen anyone do for me before (except for family members, who did it just to get me to shut up, and with much ill will): He took the piece of gum that he had been chewing out of his mouth and threw it in the trash can as he entered the room we were to have our class in. His wife also realized her own brother may suffer from the very same thing. I also found out another friend suffer from a different, but at the same time similiar condition, tinnitus. I'm also working on a free topic paper for my Spanish class. Though most likely only one person will read this paper, I decided that I could let one more person in this world know about us. I just wonder if anyone else has any other " small ways " to let others know our problem exist.
Guest guest
I recently wrote a short introductory message about 4S (think of it as " 4S for Dummies " ), which you (or anyone else) can obtain by sending an email to 4s_info(at)p-channel.net It's another take on the sort of info that R. presented in here letter to Oprah and Ellen. Feel free to use that material in any way you wish, and please share suggestions for improvement. Thank you and good luck! Guest guest
I have posted things online as well. 4s is actually how I cam to God, so i have posted my tesimony up on facebook and mostimportantthing.com i have gotten the courage to talk about it with a few close people. some let me down and abused me, but I did have one really good friend. It was awesome cause everytime I was coming down to the end of my rope, running out of patience, she was there and with the blue eyes it was like God was saying "It's okay, I'm here." and it would help me calm down and recompose myself. She would always find an exit for me when I needed to escape and there when I needed to cry. So alot of good can come out of trusting someone and alot of hurt. it's a risk. Trying to get the word out (in my own small way) It's very hard for me to talk to others about my problem with sounds; I'm sure everyone here can relate to that!
