Guest guest
Hi, try this: Melatonin, GABA along with an Epsom salt bath with Lavender at bedtime, you need to soak in the Epsom salt bath at least 15 to 20 minutes.. give the melatonin and GABA, AT Least an hour before bedtime.. experiment with the dosage of Melatonin and GABA depending on how old your child is.. this is working for us and we were in your shoes about a month ago.. Let us know if you need any more help.. Take care. It is the natural hormone that triggers sleep but some people need help either falling asleep or staying asleep. He has been waking up at night and staying up for 3+ hours at a time. He starts to engage in self stim and it escalates until it wakes everyone in the house. We have tried having mom go in and tell him to stop (he does briefly), having mom take him to another room and block the stim until he settles down to sleep, removing everything fun from his room except his bed. The problem is Mom is exhausted and interested in any homeopathic or medicine options for the short term to break this cycle. Any suggestions are very much appreciated! Guest guest
Our son is now nine years old. He takes 1 mg of the sublingual melatonin tablets that you can get at GNC. They are cherry flavor, vegetarian, wheat and gluten free and he chews them. He takes one every night, and he is asleep in 20 to 30 minutes. If he doesn't take it, he'll stay up into the a.m. on the computer or watching television. GNC offers different dosages and the bottles are either 60 or 120 count. It's not expensive.
