Guest guest
Elsie, It is Eastern time, so if you were in Texas, it would be 7:00, becasue it is Central time. I campe from Tampa and believe me, you do not look bad. It is ununually cold there. I miss the weather......better than Texas. Guest guest
It sounds beautiful Elsie. I'm so sorry you were so cold and couldn't really enjoy the ceremony. It is strange weather this year, isn't it? I have a friend who lives near Tampa and they've had ice on their windshields on a few mornings already! I couldn't believe it! I asked her 'What happened to sunny Florida?'?!!!!!! BTW, I took a look at the picture of Little Eagle. What a handsome young man he was?! But, I'll tell you the truth, he would have been handsome no matter what cause he was such a great guy! I can imagine him laughing now at the sight of you all dressed up in your 'winter regalia'!!! LOL! I sure miss him! ________________________________ To: livercirrhosissupport Sent: Saturday, December 13, 2008 8:13:33 PM Subject: Candlelight Ceremony Just got back from the Candlelight Ceremony at the cemetery for Little Eagle, It was a nice ceremony but real cold. Guest guest
Elsie - I live in Arizona, grew up in MN and went back for my mother's 80th birthday party almost 6 years ago in March. All I had to keep me warm was two sweater coats, one bigger than the other and a poncho. I was out with my daughter and asked her if I embarrassed her in my weird attire. She pointed over to another lady who lived there and was dressed just about the same as I was. And, I think I was warmer with all those layers than I used to be when I lived there and had what they considered appropriate jackets and coats. Guest guest
The ceremony sounded beautiful. I've been to Florida when it was quite cold, but I don't think it was as cold as Diane said with ice on the windshields. Yikes!
