Guest guest
Bob, I am 54 and was diagnosed with Polio after I was born. In those days they didn't know much about spina bifida and many abnormalities including spina bifida were diagnosed as Polio. My current Drs. are almost certain that I never had Polio. Hope this gives you some insight. Ardie fdoyle@... wrote: > Hi. My name is Bob. I am 62 years old and was born with spina > bifida. Guest guest
Abijann, I did get mine in April of this last year. At the hearing in front of a federal judge, he ruled me to have equaled the government's own listing. It is not very commen. Usually , according to my lawyer, you have to argue your case, and then they overrule the ssa's assessment. But in my case, because I had complained to my family doctor fatigue as a symptom, I equaled because of my sleep apnea, in combination with an organic finding of encephalopathy, and hepatopulmonary syndrome. Do you want to know the kicker? My hepatopulmonary syndrome would have gone undiagnosed, with out the knowledge that YOU gave me, Abijann. You told me to report EVERYTHING, and omit NOTHING. and to keep records, and organize yourself, and call the doctor on it when he goofs up in my record. I did all of that. No one told me that my chest xray was abnormal, and that the ER doc recommended a clinical correlation for unknown opacities on my xray. I called and fought for a referral to get my lungs checked out based on that xray. You taught me to be thorough in this. The tests confirmed mild hepatopulmonary syndrome. But mild when you add my weight loss, pain, sleep apnea, encephalopathy, and soreness, and exaustion, and the biggie, the NAUSEA, ITCHINg, low platelets, you get the picture. Thank you , Abijann. Love, Bobby long life, old age, everything good-Apache prayer ________________________________ From: abijann <no_reply > To: livercirrhosissupport Sent: Sunday, December 14, 2008 5:57:17 PM Subject: Bob Thank is so great that she has her disabiliy income now.
