Guest guest
Sharon, My daughter, Kasey, has a stander. Kasey is 17-months-old and started using the stander about four months ago. At first, she would cry when we'd put her in it, but now she doesn't seem to mind. I put on one of her favorite videos and she'll " stand " watching it! Kasey is hypertonic, so she is very tight. The stander helps " stretch " her out, and gets her used to weight bearing. One doctor told me at Baylor College of Medicine that if Kasey can pull to a sit by age two, chances are that she will walk. (If she isn't doing this, it doesn't mean that she won't walk. Doing so increases her chances.) Good luck! I'm sure Damian will like the change in position! Deanna Tillisch
