I know just where you are coming from. I remember what that was

like at University.

I went for walks listened to music, some herbal medicine some

not herbal, coffee, breaks, venting, “just doing it” , focusing, meditation,

lucid dreaming, thinking positive and removing myself from the environments where

it was going to be a problem. Always somewhere else you can study and you might

find a change of enviro helps.

Good luck with your tests, what are you studying?

Subject: Anger issues

I think it's partly external stress in my life

(final exams coming up,

etc), but I've been developing some anger issues these past few weeks.

Noisy neighbors upstairs actually fling me into a rage; I simmer with

hatred when my noisiest roommate gabs with her friend about how drunk

she was last night.

I'm so on the edge right now, I practically jump when I hear a trigger

noise. If I can't stop myself from hearing it, I rock back and forth

without realizing it. My chest hurts and so does my head; my body

feels poisoned my anger that jumps up from nowhere.

I only have a week and a half left to go, but this hurts. You're the

only people I can talk to this about, because you're the only people

who'd understand.

Please tell me your methods for controlling anger, relaxing, and

letting ugly feelings go without letting them affect you. What works

best for you?

Thanks for the reply. I'll definitely give some of those a try!

I'm studying biology... and I have bio, chem, and German finals coming

up. The sciences are a bit intimidating! I'm hoping to work in medical

research someday. I'm currently working in a lab that studies

Parkinson's and I'm having a lot of fun there; very cool stuff.

I think I'm going to give studying at the library a shot. It's like a

huge bubble of silence, if you find the right place to hole yourself

up in!

I'm so sorry that you have to go through this...it must be horribly tormenting. Try to spend sometime during the day in a place where you will know there will be no exposure to the noises. It will help...meditation also really helps.I have "Bowenwork" treatments done on me which help incredibly. I don't know if anyone has heard of these. Actually, they have helped me relax so much that I am currently getting certified to become a practitioner. The practitioner performs a series of movements on ligaments, tendons, muscles and nerves which send messages through the nervous system and helps the body heal itself. If you would like to read more about it you can find info in this link: http://www.bowtech.com/, I know you're in

Australia which is where Bowtech originated from, I'm sure you've heard of it. Maybe you can share sme of your input and feedback and let us know if you've tried it?Good luck on your tests and I hope you're able to relax a little...Thanks,andraTo: Soundsensitivity Sent: Thursday, December 4, 2008 2:23:49 PMSubject: Anger issues

University was very difficult for me also but I agree that breaks, walks, meditation and trying to study away from the offending noises/people makes a HUGE difference. Now that I do online courses at home I realize how big of a difference it is not to be around triggers. I have increase focus, better grades and can concentrate.Hang in there cherrydoom...To: Soundsensitivity Sent: Thursday, December 4, 2008 6:14:47 PMSubject: RE: Anger issues
