called audiology school

I called the school of Audiology here in Tampa at the university. I

asked if they treated misophonia, the person who answered had no clue

what I was talking about but to her credit, she handed the phone to a

woman who introduced herself as Dr. Karr. She said she would check with

a colleague who has a lot of information about the different disorders

and they will call me back.

I was not deterred, I have a bladder condition called interstitial

cystitis and though this is a widely recognized pelvic pain disorder,

many people have no clue, even healthcare " professionals. " I once had a

nurse at a pain doctor's office tell me " we don't treat those people. "

So I am used to these kinds of " rejections " and just keep pushing on.
