Guest guest
I saw my psychiatrist yesterday- he has been treating me for five years for these " noises " and OCD, etc. I told him about the group. He thought it was great and he recommended that I do these things 1. tell my husband about the noises 2. see a well known ear specialist in Tampa 3. see about getting acupuncture. I have had a full audiologic screening four years ago. No problems were found. I will call the ear doctor and see if their office has any information that will be helpful. People do come from all over the country to see this doctor so I am crossing my fingers that he or his audiologist is at least a bit familiar with 4 S... we'll see

Guest guest
Good luck ! I would hope the ear doctor has a bit of background in all this other stuff as well becasue I really don't think 4S is an audiologial problem but rather a neurological problem that manifests itself in auditory ways. But I say go for it anyhow... look at was Dr. (an audiologist) has done for all of us!! I would be interested in knowing how acupuncture goes... I've often wanted to try that one too. Good luck with talking to your husband too... it is tough but even if they think you are a goof (like my husband does) you won't need to keep it a secret any longer!! That in itself is a good feeling. - -- In Soundsensitivity , " lsalin " wrote: > > I saw my psychiatrist yesterday- he has been treating me for five years > for these " noises " and OCD, etc. I told him about the group.
