Well, I think you have to weigh the risk verses the benefits. And you have to pay attention to what your taking. I take Zoloft and I read the information that I got with my first bottle. The pamphlet talked about Serotonin syndrome. So its good to be informed. I don't take birth control pill, but they also have risks to. Yet women by the dozen take them. And now and then a 20 yr old woman dies of a blood clot. I even heard of a woman who had a brain tumor.. but the pill had " masked" her symptoms for 10 yrs!! ( the discovery channel did a show on her)

I'm thankful for you guys posting the warnings and unknowns about prozac. I must admit the temptation is there to jump on the wagon but the fear of potential harm holds me back. Someone also posted this link on ES a few days ago. No doubt this is not a benign drug and it is way over prescribed.Hope
