Guest guest
Hello Mimi. Through my research of nutrition, I ran across Dr. Stoll's site http://www.bcn.net/~stoll/ where he addresses an array of disorders related to refined-products and sugar. He has a section dedicated to Candida. He also has a bulletin board where individuals may post. Please check his site and archives for more info on candida. Also, Beth Loiselle has a book " The Healing Power of Whole Foods " where she covers a little on diet for candidiasis. Both Dr. Stoll and Beth differ from Price on several matters such as raw honey, milk(no distinction is made btw raw and pasteurized), and alcohol, which i do not find reasonable justification for, but for the most part they correspond to Price. For those with Candidiasis she recommends elimination of: All sugars (refined and unrefined) All REFINED complex carbohydrates All caffeine All alcohol All foods to which you are allergic All fruit (fruit juices, dried fruit, etc.) Apple cider vinegar is acceptable but no other vinegars Tomatoes are ok She also says that symptoms should disappear after 3 months if you follow this diet and dont liberalize. So after 3 months or after ALL symptoms have disappeared, you may begin to try SMALL amounts of temperate fruits(apples, pears, berries, grapes) NO CITRIS FRUITS. Hope this helps a little. Also, i read somewhere that it is not necessarily the yeast in the breads but the refining process and sugar of the breads that aggravates the candida, of course i could be mistaken. Check his site though for more info from others on how they fared. In Christ, Colby > Hey there! > > Thanks for the advice Alison!
