Guest guest
I'm reading about people who aren't (or are) bothered by the sounds they make themselves and I'm just wondering: Are you intentionally quiet or does it matter to you? I knew a woman years ago who also had 4S (before I knew what it was) and I was so indignan tbecause she herself was a loud person! She ate loud, sniffed loud and cleared her throat all the time - loud. Yet she was angered by those same things in others. I'm just wondering if you've been told you're loud or quiet. My husband tells me I am the quietest person he has ever met: I eat without making any noise, and he never hears my breathing or my footsteps or anything. If I am alone, I eat normally. ALSO - is the crunching or the " mooky " soounds that get to you or both? I tell my husband that he must have the strongest mouth muscles in the world and he won't have to worry about not having any teeth when we get old because he mooks the food with his tongue and it makes the most disgusting sound! Like the sound of stirring pasta in the pot - gross. I won't eat pasta.
Guest guest
I think that as I'm more aware of noises I more careful about the noises I make now - but I was never particularly loud anyway. > >Reply-To: Soundsensitivity >To: Soundsensitivity >Subject: Are you loud yourself? >Date: Wed, 16 Aug 2006 16:55:39 -0000 > >I'm reading about people who aren't (or are) bothered by the sounds >they make themselves and I'm just wondering: Are you intentionally >quiet or does it matter to you? Guest guest
or hearing people kissing on tv makes me sick. I tend to be quiet and thus spend a lot of time alone even though I am married. I do not want to make noises. Guest guest
I am super quiet...unless I have been drinking...or so I’m told...lol. I always worry that I am making too much noise. I don't wear flip flaps because I HATE that sound...even when it’s me! I try not to wear shoes that don't have rubber bottoms. I eat as quietly as possible. I worry about food in the movie theater, so I cant eat anything BEFORE the movie starts...because I am so aware of the sound. I cant eat if I am too close to other people. If we are in a really quiet restaurant, I lose my appetite because I am worried that people will hear me. Don't like eating on planes either...which is not cool...because I always drink on planes, as I do not like to fly. Yeah...those two things don't go together really well. I remember my boss picking me up at LAX once...I was singing while waiting on my luggage to come around. Shon K!
