Guest guest
Thank you for your information, and yes, all raw dairy companies need to be supported. I would hate to " pit " one against another though - there is room for many, many raw milk producers. We should encourage and develop as many companies as we can, who want to produce and believe in raw milk. If there are only a few, then they are vulnerable to the forces of the government and pasturization business that want to shut them down. There should be many raw milk producers, all producing in their communities, all being supported. Organic Pastures seems to have already been doing quite a large amount of milk, but simply had no distribution system to get their milk out raw. It seems as if many milk producers, who are producing their milk raw initially, are sending it to larger milk companies who then combine the milks and pasturize it. This must seem like the only way to survive, financially. With each company, maybe we can change this with an ever growing demand from people who understand the principals behind raw milk and want it - Customer is King (and Queen), as they say. It's the same as struggle among the " oppressed " - the oppressed should not fight amongst themselves, but combine powers and fight their battles against the larger forces that are trying to suppress them. If many raw milk producers could develop and thrive, then the big bucks of pasturization would have less power over the raw milk producers as a whole. On to another point though - I thought Claravale was already organic. In what way is it organic now? And in what way is it not? I know it is only partly pasture fed, but I thought it was organic... Guest guest
Hi, I am new to the list and very glad I found it. I have read the NT book and am just a beginner at converting to this diet. Just one question for now: I live in Salem, OR. There is one natural food store here. They carry some unpasturized goat milk, but not cow. Would Clarvale distribute up here, or would that be to far North? Is it even legal to sell raw cow's milk in Oregon? Is it a state-by-state thing? I need to read the website more thoroughly, perhaps this info. is there already. And I think there was a support group in my area, which could probably answer these questions. However, any info you could give me would be great. I am willing to go to the owner of the store with info about the Clarvale milk. Thanks Carolyn
