Guest guest
Candi, My son Teddy doesn't have seizures, but they are currently discussing this same issue on the Lissencephaly Loop. Many of the kids have seizures in response to noises that bother them. So it sounds like you are absolutely correct about them being a trigger. Sorry to hear that didn't have a party but I'm sure you made sure she had a good day! I know Teddy & Hunter will be turning 3 in August and I'm not sure that a party is best thing for them. Might just go to Burger King and play in the ball pit! Kim & Teddy Raub 's Birthday Thanks to all the wonderful birthday wishes! had been seizure free for eight months, until last weekend. I took her to my sister's wedding reception in Virginia on Friday night, and then to her friend's third birthday party, back in West Virginia, the very next morning, where she had a seizure in front of all the guests! So, we decided not to do a party for , even though her brother has a birthday today (2 days later). We're just thankful she only had one episode. We noticed that she is extremely sensitive to applause. A few weeks ago we took her to a dance recital. EAch time the audience would applaud, would scream and shake, as if she were trying to escape the noise. At the birthday party, she had the same reaction to the breaking of a pinata. Does anyone else's child react this way? This may have been part of the seizure trigger, as well. Thanks again, Candi and 3-yr. old .
