Guest guest
Hi Joan you were brave to go on that show, but I was angry that the audience were encouraged to think it was funny and you appeared to be being portrayed as slightly mad, which is a fear many of us have- that we are mad. Well at least we have found you and you have the support of this group. I go about spotting people with 4s now and tell them about it. I am unsure we can trust the entertainment business and their response although we desperately need publicity. Welcome anyway from people with 4s in the UK too. Guest guest
Hi Joan, yes, welcome!!! I too am married for 18 years and eat, breathe and watch TV alone because my husband is such a pig with his eating and breathing and snoring but since I found this group it now seems OK to be on my own instead of being around him and now he gets me and does not get mad at me when i give him the evil eye!! IT works for us!! Same here, if I am eating then it is okay and restaurants are ok too!!!! Cannot survive at my job without my Bose headphones though!!! Happy you are here!!! pia To: Soundsensitivity From: frlynn3@...Date: Thu, 13 Mar 2008 04:08:23 -0700Subject: Re: Hi. I am "Manic Mom" from the Dr. Phil Show Welcome! Glad you found us. Hi. Guest guest
Hey Manic Mom, You did us very well on Dr. Phil. Thanks for that. Sorry you had to go through that, and not receive any help in return. I've been using biofeedback for a while, and have seen some results (better than the zero results I've had otherwise). Lemme know if I can help. Orin
Guest guest
Joan! I have thought about you so often since seeing you on the show. I was so happy to see you on YouTube so we could contact you. My daughters and I laughed when Dr. Phil told you to just not react to the sounds. What an idiot! Although he is pretty much a representation of most of the medical community and how they respond to people who have 4s. We all emailed him after we saw you on it, but no one ever heard anything back. Glad you made it--hope we can get the word out so more sufferers will find relief in knowing it's not their fault. Guest guest
Yeah... I TRIED to post the name of this group on the board at DrPhil, but they would not post it Guess they don't want people to know Dr. Phil got it wrong this time! Even though everyone there was super nice, it does aggravate me because it makes me wonder if they REALLY are concerned about those of us with this problem or not? AGGRAVATING! Almost as aggravating as listening to 10 gum chewers at once! NOT! Joan Welcome to the group! I'm so glad that you've found us all -- Joan V.My Blog: http://www.xanga.com/hbasedmomof6Legitimate Jobs From Homehttp://wahparents.blogspot.com/ Read about My Parenting Paradigm Shifthttp://www.freewebs.com/suffer-the-little-children/
