Guest guest
Marsha - Freddie's were "enlarged". You could see them almost touching. The real zinger of all this is the adenoids were large too AND the adenoids can grow back. Joy. What did your doc say about the adenoids? Freddie also used to get up around three every night. He finally grew out of it but the trick was to make sure the bedroom was completely black. The doctor suggested Freddie's internal clock was "off" and that any hint of light was an imitation to get up and to wake everyone else too. Once we got his internal clock reset he slept pretty sound. We also had to make sure his bed time hour and wake up were consistent. You will find us reading a book at 7:30 sharp and asleep by 8:05 every night! The bad side of this schedule, we are up at 7:00 a.m. on the weekends.....Ugh! Oh and no TV/electronics 2-3 hours before bed. Not hard on the weekdays but the weekends are tough sometimes. nnaMommy to Freddie 7yrsFull Inclusion 1st Grade"We can change the world one classroom at a time" - Gail on Subject: [DownSyndromeInfoExchange] Re: Ian's sleep studyTo: DownSyndromeInfoExchange Date: Monday, December 8, 2008, 5:07 AM To families who have had the tonsil surgery: did your Dr. say that your child's tonsils were enlarged? We just had an appt. with our ENT Dr. and I asked about tonsils. 's tonsils are not enlarged and the Dr. would rather not take them out if not necessary. We attempted a sleep study but terminated it due to the patient's ()distress. He was scared. He gets up every night at least once but usually goes back to sleep.Marsha> > We got the results of Ina's sleep study. He has mild to moderate > obstructive sleep apnea.
