Guest guest
No way! They just said: "oh the lab probably mishandled the blood! Otherwise you'd be really sick". It happened several times, my doctor just ignored it, and so did I because I already knew better than to argue with idiots who used such circular logic. And I was already being treated by an infectious disease doctor who said: that's interesting, and I think that's what convinced him that we did indeed have Babesia. My husband was taken to hospital because he had fainted and was deathly white with a heartbeat of 120 pulse per minute, they took blood and when the serum came back with the mention "hemolysed" on it they just said "the lab must've made a mistake". He then had another blood test which showed a massive deficit in RBC (hemoglobin down to 9 from 15.5 within a couple of days). He was being treated for Babesia, he suspended treatment for a couple of weeks, his RBCs came back up. They haven't fallen since and neither of us has had sign of hemolysis since.
