I can't say for sure. Just sounds like taking an abx once a month is stirring something up, but not doing much good overall. This will sound gross, but since my sinus surgery, the inside of my nostrils are constantly being clogged up with hard, crystalized stuff. But worse than that is that the inside of my nostrils themselves get coated with something that's almost like skin. Everyday, I literally have to pull it off to clear my nostrils. It's like a layer of glue that looks just like my skin, but removing it doesn't result in soreness or bleeding like removing a real layer of skin would. I'm thinking that maybe what I'm seeing is what biofilms look like. But they're in my nose now, too, rather than limited to my sinuses. Other people's noses run, mine just turns to glue and sticks inside my nose. At least I can manually remove it. But unfortunately, there's no way I can pull

that stuff out of my sinuses. That's why I think the only option is constant nasal irrigation with antimicrobials like betadine (iodine), saline, (and I even use a tiny bit of bleach). I'd think that xylitol would be a great thing to rinse with, as it prevents bacteria from adhering to the sinus walls, which is how biofilms are formed. I need to drag out the xylitol spray again, see if that affects what's going on in my nose. Steam. Sure, every morning for 20 minutes in shower. I really don't

want the running to stop, but unfortunately it did. My nose never runs.
