Guest guest
NANCY, Do not be overly concerned about the polyps. If they come back adenoma's they will tell you they can and usually do come back but if you have a routine colonoscopy they will remove them before they develop into a malignancy. A lot of people have these. The main thing to do is have your followup's regularly. Yes you are right about the prep. That is the worse part of the test. When I had mine I only managed half of the laxative because I knew if I finished the rest every thing was coming back up. Hang in there. Don't stress too much. The good news is your diverticulitis is under controll and AIH hasn't caused colon any damage.

Guest guest
I'm so glad they got the polyps out in time!! Hope you are feeling well. I have a question though. I didn't realize that AIH could effect your colon. Do you know how or what it does? Thanks! Bethanne pinnut32000 <pinnut32000@...> wrote: Well guys, I am home again following my colonoscopy. The prep nearly killed me, as I spent most of the night in the bathroom. The procedure itself was not bad. Bad news - my gastro removed two polyps and said they were precancerous. He will call me with the complete pathology report in about a week. Gads, I hate the waiting part of all of this. Good news? It appears that my colon is not affected by the AIH although I do have moderate diverticulosis which he believes I can be kept under control with a high fiber diet.I am doing okay right now with just a little discomfort. As long as the polyps are benign I will be happy, but until the week is up I will be on edge - again.I also had blood drawn today to check on my enzyme level with the prednisone to see if the dosage has lowered count. I should have the results early next week.Wait, wait, wait. I keep telling myself that patience is a virtue.Welcome to all the new members of the group (there are quite a few I see from my brief glance through the posts). I am sorry that I don't remember all your names now, but my mind is somewhere else right now.

Guest guest
Really sorry to hear about your nasty polyps. All the tests and proceedures I've had, the colonoscopy is one I've been spared. With AIH we should be exempt from all else. We have enough to deal with. Hang in there are my prayers are with you for GOOD NEWS. Keep us informed. Patty - Miami [ ] Good news/bad news? Guest guest
I've been on diflucan for 10 days following 6 months of headaches. In the past week I have started running a low grade one degree fever toward late afternoon. Yesterday afternoon I became very sick with severe headache, two degree fever, aching all over and some mild nausea. I could hardly stand up. The past week I was actually feeling somewhat better with only mild headache. Is it safe to assume this was a herx or is it more likely that I got some virus or food poisoning? I don't think I was nauseated enough for it to be food poisoning. Any thoughts? a Carnes
Guest guest
a, keeping in mind that we all react differently to treatments, I would guess that you have picked up a bug. There are some nasty ones circulating out there. One thing about nausea, I take the diflucan on a full stomach to prevent it. Don't know if I mentioned that before. Hope this passes quickly for you,
