Guest guest
Dear Amy If you have the strength, try and read Jay Goldstein on neurotransmitters. One of the things that I gained from reading his work was the importance of the inhibitory neurotransmitter, GABA (gamma amino butyric acid). Many symptoms relate to lack of inhibition or conversely, overactivity of various nerve tracts. Allof the medications I have found useful are in fact, GABA enhancers or synergists. If you don't want to go down the drug path (for various reasons including physician reluctance and possible drug interactions) then GABA is available OTC from compounding pharmacies and better supplement sources (I am in Australia , so have no idea of suppliers in other parts of the world). Get back to me if you want more precise info.
