Guest guest
Ok I saw this in New Scientist, which I get. Quite a few of us or more I will not say who, have it and many do not, and we need your support, love and prayer always, always and always. You must understand that it may not be the disease that gets us it is the overlapping illnesses that hit our immune system that hits the biomarker in our genes and then gets us. Or its one of the symptoms as in this case. If some of you get this twice, I’m sorry, it’s the “wooze” or as a lot of you call it that are sick, “brain fog” and it is and can be more neurological than just that. Some of you will receive this thru your group emails (I hope) and that is because when I can’t get over to you I want you to know that I love you and wish I could be there and I need your prayers as well as millions of other CFSer’s. Please read on: (For those of you who have CFS the link to the article is at the very bottom. Love to you all~~Beauty Chronic fatigue syndrome can kill - official 21 June 2006 NewScientist.com news service FAR from being " all in the mind " chronic fatigue syndrome has been recorded as a cause of death in the UK for the first time. The coroner's verdict is a breakthrough for those who argue that CFS, or myalgic encephalomyelitis, is a physical rather than psychological condition. On 13 June a UK coroner recorded that 32-year-old Sophia Mirza died from acute aneuric renal failure - failure to produce urine - triggered by dehydration as a result of CFS. Mirza had had the condition for six years. The cause of CFS remains controversial, though it may have its roots in the immune system. Dominic O'Donovan, a neuropathologist at Oldchurch Hospital in Romford who gave evidence at the inquest, said that Mirza's spinal cord showed inflammation. This, he says, is a clear physical manifestation of CFS. CFS specialist Kerr of St 's, University of London, agrees. He says that the immune system tends to be over-activated in people with CFS, and this may underlie the inflammation of the neurological tissue. " People have been reluctant to subscribe to the biological side because of the power of the psychiatric lobby, " says Kerr.
