You can search for BCBA's/BCaBA's in by zip code, city, state, name at the Behavior Analyst Certification Board website (www.bacb.com). Go to consumer information and then click on the Certificant Registry tab on the left. HSC is also reimbursing for BCBA's.

Unfortunately, one of the problems is that most of the private clinics (and maybe the public ones) have clauses in their contract to prevent their BCBAs to work privately with other clients.

I really think that due to the shortage of qualified and experienced BCBAs, these organization should re-consider their positions.

When choosing the service company that manages your CLASS options you need to ask if they contract for ABA and verify that they have BCBA's on contract. Two such companies that I contract with also serve the Houston area as well as central texas. I dont believe that these services are available all over Texas yet, however. Lean on your case manager to read up on DAD's bulletin # 08-123, dated 9/22/08.
