Guest guest
Hi all, I'm new to this group, I have done biomedical treatments for my 3 year old son (ASD) for the past year and have seen HUGE gains. Recently, we had my son tested for Lyme (through Igenex) and he came back positive. I suspect he contracted Lyme from me, although I have not yet been tested. My son's DAN! doctor recommended I take herbs (Cat's Claw, Resveratrol, and Artecin) for 2-3 weeks prior to my blood draw, to increase the likelihood of a positive result. My concern is that I am breastfeeding my 16 month old son and I am worried that these herbs will " stir up " Lyme bacteria that could be passed on through my breast milk. Does anyone know whether it is safe to take Cat's Claw, Resveratrol, and Artecin while breastfeeding? If not, should I proceed with the blood draw without taking these herbs? If I have Lyme or any co-infections, it is likely a chronic case, because I was bitten when I was 5 years old (I am now 30). I am just starting to learn about Lyme (feeling very overwhelmed), it sounds just as complex as autism! If I test positive, this sure would explain a lot (fatigue, brain fog, etc.). We also just ordered an infrared sauna from Heavenly Heat so hopefully this will help. Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this and for any words of wisdom any of you can share!! Ear infections, sore throats etc? Do you have a good LLMD? What does he advise? Guest guest
This topic totally confuses me. I breastfed my children long term way into toddler years. They were never sick in the sense of ear infections and never on abx until this year. They do run good fevers when sick, which I never medicate. I started realizing I was sick while breast feeding my 4 year old. He has muscle tested neg for lyme (today). He is 8. ??? My daughter (first child not breastfeeding when I knew I was sick, tests pos for lyme specific bands and seems OK, although some symptoms and on abx at present (treating as if new infection because of high cd 57, which I am wondering is a precurser to draining the cd 57 out). Both have had multiple tick bites. I am not sure the role of breatmilk even though I know there is at least one study where either dna of or actual spirochetes were recovered in the milk of infected mice and even though Dr. sees a strong correlation. The info of folks geting better on raw cows milk is also making this more confusing. Perhaps cows with lyme are obviously ill and kept out of the milking until resolved which still doesnt make sense to me given we are supposedly never resolved. Maybe cows are different.
