Guest guest
Here's a simple way of understanding them: It's an antibody bound to an antigen that makes up what's called an " immune complex " . The antigen can be just about anything- deom a drug molecule for your own tissue, or a pathogen's protein. If there are too many of these complexes that the body can't clear - they start to cause a problem themselves ( not filtering - but accumluating in the kidney - circulating in the blood - any tying up antibodies (so the antibodies can't be measured). Guest guest
Take a look at this site.. Immune complexes settle( and cause inflammation) in more than just the kidney.. if the cell isn't separated from what it's bound to.. then it's too big to be removed form the body thru normal channels. It can collect in various porgans.. look at the chart for infections 3/4 way down. During my Lyme therapy - I took alot of wobenzym N which is supposed to un complex an immune complex. http://nic.sav.sk/logos/books/scientific/node42.html Barb
